Deposit protection
Hoerner Bank AG is a member of the Deposit Protection Fund of the Association of German Banks [Bundesverband deutscher Banken e. V., (BdB)]. This means that customer deposits (overnight deposits, fixed-term deposits, current accounts and savings accounts) at Hoerner Bank AG are protected by the Deposit Protection Fund in addition to the statutory deposit guarantee. Furthermore Hoerner Bank AG is also a member of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme of the private banking sector.
The basic coverage prescribed by law of a maximum of 100,000 Euros per person is covered by the Entschädigungseinrichtung deutscher Banken GmbH (EdB) [compensation institution of the German Banks Ltd]. This is regardless of how many accounts an investor has with us and whether these are single or joint accounts. For joint accounts, this means that each account holder has a separate entitlement to compensation in the amount of 100,000 Euros per customer.
You can find out the amount of secured customer deposits at einlagensicherungsfonds.de/abfrage-der-sicherungsgrenze (German only).
