As a rule, we work at our own financial risk. As such, when we are called in, the judicial administrator of the estate does not burden the estate with any fees or expenses. It is up to the heirs to sign a fee agreement with us. Our percentage fee is usually set up as a contingency fee, which means that we only receive our fee once the heir receives a distribution from the estate. For estates valued from around 30,000 Euro, this system ensures that it is also in our own interest to bring the heir research to a conclusion. We only take on research on an hourly basis for low-value estate matters or in cases with exceptional circumstances. For example, when you simply wish us to procure certificates for you.
